Brandon Wladyko loses a close battle with his shadow at the end of the 2014 Wolves XC Relay at the Wapiti Nordic Ski Trails

The team of Bi$$? I’m Confused rode a strong leg by Kirstin Manz to capture the featured 3 x 3km distance at the Wolves 2014 XC Relay at the Wapiti Nordic Ski Trails on Saturday.

Manz overtook Tamica Campbell of the Foes of Bi$$ in the early stages of Leg 2 and established an insurmountable lead which teammate Eric DeRose, the Leg 3 runner, was able to defend.  The Friends of Bi$$ placed third, 9 seconds behind the Foes.

The Elementary School 3 x 1 km was closely contested as the top 4 teams were less than 40 seconds apart.  The team of 12 Bowie (Adam and Madison Twelvetree, Braden Bowie) prevailed over the MCB Girls.

Individually, Brandon Wladyko (11:11)  had the quickest 3 km leg among the men, while Jamie Wigmore (11:38) was tops among the women runners.  The quickest 1 km legs were recorded by Adam Twelvetree (4:27) and sister Madison Twelvetree (4:29).
