Wolves Athletics Club athletes executed a pair of podium sweeps at the 2015 Summer’s End Road Races in Fairview on Saturday.

In the men’s 10 km event, Hayden Hollowell bested all runners, recording a time of 35:44, over 3 minutes ahead of second placer Eric Nooy.  Josh Malmsten was third.

Jamie Wigmore topped the women’s field in the 5.5 km, stopping the clock in 21:45.  High school runners Kailey Bratland and Brittany Duvall placed second and third respectively.

Other winners included Grade 9 student Jordan Lundstrom (men’s 5.5 km) and Grande Prairie’s Marlene Corcoran (women’s 10 km).

The Summer’s End Road Races was Event #1 in the 2015 Wolves Cross Country Series.  Event #2, the Steve Burgess Memorial, takes place on September 19 at the Wapiti Nordic Ski Trails in Grande Prairie.
