3 year old Canyon Sherk smiled his way to a 27th place finish in the JEB 1.3 km in the 2016 Bezanson Bog

Spirit River’s Eric Nooy is on quite a roll.  The 17 year old Wolves Athletics Club runner captured the featured 5 km distance on Saturday at the Bezanson Bog Cross Country Race, Race #3 in the 2016 Wolves Cross Country Running Series,  at the Old Bezanson Townsite.  Nooy ran the course in 19:44, 34 seconds ahead of Dawson Creek’s Adam Wangler.  Grande Prairie’s Chris Nelissen was third.

Last week, Nooy won the 6 km Dawson Creek Sneak Cross Country Race.

Myron Brown   Boy’s 1.3 km

Laurel Vandergiessen   Girl”s 1.3 km

This week is a very busy one on the local cross country scene.  Wednesday, the Saint’s March race goes in Peace River; Thursday, the Dreamer’s Lake Cross Country visits Wanham; and Saturday, the Steve Burgess Memorial race takes place at Wapiti Nordic.
